hearservice, a division of the Victorian Deaf Society (Vicdeaf) are excited to offer FREE hearing checks to the community on the first Wednesday of every month at Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre from 10am-12pm, starting February 2017.

What is a hearing check? A hearing check is a preliminary screen of your hearing levels.

How long does a hearing check take? A hearing check takes 20 to 30 minutes. A trained staff member from hearservice will check your hearing and explain your results

Can anyone have a hearing check? Yes! A hearing check is a quick and easy way to find out more about your hearing. If you are not sure about having your hearing checked, ask yourself these questions:

o   Have you, your family or friends noticed a change in your hearing?

o   Do you sometimes think people mumble or speak too quickly?

o   Do you have difficulty hearing TV, phone or conversation?

o   Do you avoid social activities because of your hearing?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, a hearing check is recommended.
